Weston, FL- The Chicago State men's golf team closed out action at the HBCU National Championships by taking runner up honors with three-round score of 768 (311-305-152 —768). The third round was played as a nine-hole round.
Zack Phelps was the Cougars high-finisher taking seventh place in the individual standings at a 8-over par 187 (77-74-37 —188) just three strokes out of fourth place. Julian Colavecchia, Devin Kucy and Payton Dunahee all tied for 12th place with three round scores of 195, while Marcus Freeman III placed 28th.
The Cougars will take some time off before returning to the course on March 19 at the Alabama State Hornet Puerto Rico Invitational.
