DEKALB, Ill. - The Chicago State women's tennis team competed at the Huskie Indoor Invitational hosted by Northern Illinois University. The Cougars had a busy weekend competing in 12 matches combined over the three day competition. The team was highlighted in the Doubles category with two doubles pairs winning three matches led by
Karolina Skowronska and Mackenize King, along with
Danina Hughes and
Nikita Liyanage.
Skowronska and King began their weekend with a 7-5 win in round one. Hughes and Liyanage bounced back after a round one loss to pull off the round 2 win in a 6-4 match. After falling in the second match on Friday, Skowronska and King defeated a Northern Illinois duo by a score of 6-4.

Mackenzie King will wrap up the fall season for the women's tennis team as they will represent Chicago State and the NEC on November 6-9 at the ITA Masters Championships from San Diego, California. The duo earned the opportunity after winning the NateRentals.com Binghamton Championships back in September and will compete to earn their spot at NCAA National Championships.
