The Horizon League announced today seven Chicago State men's and women's tennis players were named to the 2024 Spring Horizon League Academic Honor Roll. The Cougars are competing as an affiliate member of the Horizon League in both men's and women's tennis before moving to the Northeast Conference (NEC) with all other Chicago State sports programs next season. A total of 1,374 student-athletes were named to this year's squad and Chicago State and Belmont led affiliate members of the conference with seven selections each.

To qualify, student-athletes must have completed three semesters (four quarters on the quarter system) as a full-time student at the institution and have a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.20 as of December.
Youngstown State led the way with 189 student-athletes earning the honor, followed by Oakland (165), Milwaukee (151) and Cleveland State (126). Overall, men's tennis had 22 student-athletes qualify for the list and women's tennis had 25. The complete list is available
