Chicago State Men’s Golf Finish Seventh at Valpo Fall Invitational

The Chicago State men's golf team placed seventh at the 54-hole Valpo Fall Invitational hosted by Valparaiso University at the par-72, 7,082-yard Sand Creek Country Club in Chesterton, Indiana today. The Cougars entered the day in ninth but shot the fourth lowest round of the day (299) to finish ahead of Western Illinois and Green Bay. Chicago State's Pablo Riveiro was the top finisher for the Cougars shooting a final-round 1-under 71 to finish in a tie for third overall. Reigning champion Valparaiso earned the top spot for the second consecutive year while Valpo's Caleb VanArragon earned medalist honors in the 63-person field by 16 strokes, shooting a 15-under 201.

Chicago State will be back on the course September 25-26 at the 38th Annual Thomas W. Dortch Jr. HBCU Golf Classic at Eagles Landing Country Club in Stockbridge, Georgia.
