Cougars Men’s Golf Team Earns Third Place Finish at Alabama A&M Fall Classic

The Chicago State men's golf team finished third in the five-team field at the Alabama A&M Fall Classic at Robert Trent Jones at Hampton Cove in Huntsville, Alabama. The Cougars carded the lowest third round score with a 296 Tuesday which solidified their third-place finish, two strokes behind runner-up Arkansas Pine Bluff and 21 behind tournament winner Alabama State.

Chicago State was led by Pablo Riveiro who finished third overall with a three-round 220, eight strokes out of the lead. He shot two of the three lowest rounds for CSU with a final-round 70 and first-round 73. Clay Well had a final-round 73 en route to a tie for 12th place with teammate Payton Dunahee who both shot 230.

The Cougars will be back on the course at the two-day Bridgestone HBCU Invitational hosted by the BCGCA on Wednesday and Thursday, November 1-2 at TPC Sugarloaf in Duluth, Georgia.
