Katarina Drazic was honored with her senior recognition by the team and athletic department.
Drazic's Cougars resume includes the following: sixth all time in career singles wins, ninth all time in career singles win percentage, seventh all time in career doubles wins, seventh all time in career doubles win percentage, tied for fifth all time in singles wins in a season, tied for eighth all time in doubles wins in a season, eighth all-time best doubles winning percentage in a season. She is also a three-time all WAC academic honoree, three-time all ITA academic honoree, two-time WAC player of the week in singles, three-time WAC doubles player of the week, all WAC tournament team, first team all WAC doubles and second team all WAC singles.

Kristina Pukhaeva at No. 1 doubles, 6-1, but the Cougars dropped the team point by defaulting at No. 3 and
Sofiya Sedovich and
Susana Andres lost 6-4 in the best-of-three format.
"We weren't able to pull it out today," associate head coach
Wyatt Pauley said. "It was a close match and we made a solid push at the end to take the match, but just came up short."
In singles, Cardinal Stritch earned wins in the first two matches, a default at No. 6 and Drazic lost 6-2, 6-3 at No. 3 and the Wolves pushed the team lead to 3-0.
Susana Andres then earned a 6-3, 7-5 win at No. 5 before Pukhaeva lost 6-4, 6-3 at No. 1 and Cardinal Stritch clinched the win.
Katarina Dukic then won 7-6 (7-4), 6-2 at No. 4 and the match concluded with Sedovich losing 4-6, 7-5 (10-6).
"It was a great match to prepare for our conference tournament later this week," Pauley said. "We'll be ready to play a tough team (Seattle) this week in New Mexico."
The next action for the Cougars will be the Western Athletic Conference Tournament in Las Cruces, New Mexico, April 30-May 2. The Cougars are the fourth seed and will take on No. 5 Seattle U. The two teams played April 1 in Edinburg, Tex., and the Cougars earned a 4-3 win despite defaulting at No. 3 doubles and No. 6 singles. A Cougars win would propel them into a semifinal matchup against No. 1 Grand Canyon, May 1 at 10 a.m.
