When Kevin Bullington was a freshman in high school, he didn't seem destined for Division I golf.
"Growing up, I was around golf, but I didn't really play It competitively," Bullington said. "Freshman year, I tried out for the team and made JV. But I was pretty bad. Not good at all. I did not play well, but it was fun. I was just gearing up for baseball."
Flash forward to 2021, and Bullington is entrenched on the Chicago State men's golf team. Bullington was featured on Episode 17 of the Chi State Pod:
A Frankfort, Illinois native, Bullington is a lifelong Chicago sports fan who takes a great deal of pride in his roots.
On the podcast, Bullington explains how he transformed from a "bad" high school golfer Division I golfer. He also discusses the influence of his brother, Brian Bullington, who golfed at Iowa and now stands in the professional ranks. Click here to listen.
