CHICAGO — The Chicago State University Athletic Department announced Friday the 2021-22 promotional schedule for men's and women's basketball games at the Jones Convocation Center.
For all home games, the department will debut the Cougar Youth High Five Club, in which local youth will line up for high fives and form a tunnel for the team as the Cougars come out of the huddle.
Also, for the entire month of December, CSU will host a toy drive. The full promotional schedule is below:

A new era in Chicago State men's basketball is set to get under way Tuesday, Nov. 9, at the Jones Convocation Center. First-year head coach Gerald Gillion will make his college-coaching debut for the Cougars, introducing 12 new Cougars players to a team which returns just three players from last year's COVID-shortened season. CSU will open the 2021-22 campaign with back-to-back home games against Division I opponents for the first time since 1989-90, welcoming St. Thomas on Nov. 9, followed by SIUE on Nov. 12.
The women's basketball program opens year two of the Tiffany Sardin Era on Tuesday, November 9 at Wichita State, a noon start against the Shockers. In the non-conference schedule, the Cougars will play home games against Alabama-Birmingham (Nov. 13), Indiana State (Dec. 1), St. Thomas (Dec. 4) and Evansville (Dec. 19).

Chicago State University Athletics is comprised of 15 intercollegiate teams involving over 150 student-athletes that compete in basketball, cross country, golf, soccer, tennis, indoor and outdoor track and volleyball.
