WAC Outdoor Championship Final Results

LAWRENCE, Kan. –
In her final collegiate individual race at the Western Athletic Conference Outdoor Track and Field Championships, Chicago State senior Jocindra Glee (Orlando, Fla./Evans) captured her third personal conference title after winning the women's 400-meter dash on Saturday at Rock Chalk Park.

Glee crossed the finish line with a time of 56.44 and defeated her closest competitor by 15-tenths of a second to complete the indoor-outdoor sweep of the event after she earned her second straight 400m indoor title in February. She also became the first Cougar to capture this rare feat since Kelvin White won the Great West Conference 60m hurdles (indoor) and 110m hurdles (outdoor) titles in 2011.

Both Cougar teams placed seventh in the meet with the women scoring 28 points and the men tallying a total of 18 points. The men's (254) and women's (224.50) team titles were captured by Grand Canyon.

Junior Carlton Sims (Gary, Ind./Westside) earned First Team All-WAC honors in the men's 400m as he crossed the finish line at a time of 49.01 to capture third place.

Sophomore Ricordo McKenzie (Montego Bay, Jamaica/Cornwall College) set a new school record in the men's 100-meter dash after crossing the finish line with a time of 10.44 to finish fifth and being named Second Team All-WAC. McKenzie's time shaved .14 seconds off the previous mark set by Isaac Provitt in 2013.

Senior Asia Johnson (Guthrie, Okla./Guthrie) also posted a fifth-place finish in the women's 100-meter hurdles to earn Second Team All-WAC accolades as she posted a personal-best time of 13.90.

Glee later teamed with freshmen Toniann Ewen (Orlando, Fla./Evans), London Nelson (Upper Malboro, Md./Largo) and LiShaun Wilson to set a season-best time of 3:53.50 in the women's 4x400-meter relay race to finish fifth.

In the men's 4x400 relay final, McKenzie and Sims alongside freshmen Olesson Cesalien () and Justin Johnson (Upper Malboro, Md./Largo) finished sixth after recording a season-best time of 3:23.18.
