Gadacz and Gamboa Capture Fourth Straight Doubles Win against Omaha

HOMEWOOD, Ill. – Seniors Leshia Gadacz (Toronto, Ontario/Loretto Abbey) & Lorea Gamboa (Gamiz-Fika, Spain/Larramendi Ikastola) extended their winning streak to four matches in a row as the Chicago State women's tennis team fell to Omaha here today at the H-F Racquet and Fitness Club.
 
After UNO opened doubles play with a win at the No. 1 flight, Gadacz & Gamboa recorded a 6-3 victory over Savanna Crowell & Natalie Lorentz at No. 2, and the No. 3 team of junior Anastasiia Goncharova (Smolensk, Russia) & freshman Alana Andrews (Murrieta, Calif./Murrieta Valley) defeated Marie Kaplevich & Emily Behling by a 6-3 margin to give CSU a 1-0 lead.
 
The Mavericks came back to claim five of the six singles flights with four of those contests going to a deciding third set.
 
Freshman Katarina Drazic (Sarasota, Fla./Elevation Preparatory Academy) captured a 6-2, 6-4 win at No. 5 over Crowell for the Green and White's lone singles point.
 
The Cougars close their homestand at H-F on Sunday with a couple of matches against Oakland at 9 a.m. and Lewis at 5 p.m.
