Chicago State Women’s Tennis Falls to Illinois State, 7-0

HOMEWOOD, Ill. – The Chicago State women's tennis team continued its three-match homestand at the H-F Racquet and Fitness Center this afternoon with the first of two Missouri Valley Conference opponents in visiting Illinois State, but the Redbirds would go on to capture a 7-0 victory over the Green and White.

ISU swept all three doubles matches to produce an early 1-0 lead before winning all six singles matches to take the match win.

Freshman Alana Andrews (Murrieta, Calif./Murrieta Valley) played close in her No. 4 singles flight against E. Vanthier before dropping both sets by identical scores of 6-3.

The Cougars close out their homestand tomorrow afternoon against another MVC foe in Bradley which starts at 9 a.m.
