WOMEN'S TENNIS BEAT BY IPFW

Chicago State's Women's Tennis Team also began their spring season today at IPFW in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

In singles play... Faith Huckabee (Hazel Crest, Ill./Homewood-Flossmoor) scored the only point for CSU with the victory over Sofia Sorokina 6-3, 6-1 at No. 4 Singles... Junior Carynne Lloyd (East Lansing, Mich./East Lansing) loss 6-4, 6-1 to Mayu Sato at No.1 singles....Together Huckabee and Lloyd loss in doubles 6-2 by Sara Sherif and Alina Schibol.

At No. 2 Singles Hanna Pangestu (Jakarta, Indonesia) lost her match to Alina Schibol.... Junior Marnie Perez-Ochoa (Louisville, Ky./Male) was beat 6-0, 6-1 at No. 3 Singles against Carlota Trevino.... As doubles partners, Perez-Ochoa and Pangestu went down 6-1 to Huck and Sato.

Freshman Lorea Gamboa (Gamiz-Fika, Spain/Larramendi Ikastola) was defeated in singles 6-1, 6-2 by Marcy Huck.... Freshmen Matea Roki (Etobicoke, Ontario/Silverthorn Collegiate Institute) also lost in singles playing at No. 6 against Sara Sherif....Roki and Gamboa were beat in doubles play 6-1 to Trevino and Lindal.
