WILMINGTON, N.C. – Chicago State men's track and field stepped away from snowy Chicago to open the 2014 outdoor campaign on Friday (March 14) at the UNC-Wilmington Seahawk Invitational.
Sophomore
Kory Jackson (Blue Island, Ill./Eisenhower) finished eighth in the long jump with a jump of 6.76 meters. His brother
Kameron Jackson (Blue Island, Ill./Eisenhower) earned a 14
th place finish after 6.12 meter effort.
Senior
Samuel McKinney (St. Charles, Iowa/Interstate 35) finished 10
th in the javelin with a throw of 49.87.
The Cougars earned one point during the abbreviated first evening of action and sit in seventh place. North Dakota is in first place with 38 points. The event continues on Saturday.
