CHICAGO — Chicago State University Athletics announced that media credential applications are now open for the 2026 Chicago State football inaugural season and the Cougars' five home games at SeatGeek Stadium in Bridgeview, Illinois.
Working media members interested in covering Chicago State football home games are encouraged to submit credential requests in advance through the Chicago State Football Media Credential Application.
Credential requests are intended for accredited working media, including print and digital journalists, television and radio personnel, photographers, videographers and other approved media representatives covering Chicago State Athletics.
Chicago State will play its historic first football game on Saturday, Aug. 29, when the Cougars host Roosevelt University at noon at SeatGeek Stadium.
2026 Chicago State Football Home Schedule
- Saturday, Aug. 29 — Roosevelt University — 12 p.m.
- Saturday, Sept. 12 — Kentucky Christian University — 12 p.m.
- Saturday, Sept. 26 — Norfolk State University — 6 p.m.
- Saturday, Oct. 31 — University of Fort Lauderdale — 2 p.m. — Homecoming
- Saturday, Nov. 14 — Virginia University of Lynchburg — 12 p.m.
All home games will be played at SeatGeek Stadium in Bridgeview, Illinois.
Submitting an application does not guarantee approval. All credential requests are subject to review and approval by Chicago State University Athletics. Approved media members will receive additional information regarding credential pickup, parking, media access, press box procedures and game-day operations prior to the applicable contest.
Media representatives are encouraged to submit requests as early as possible, particularly for the historic inaugural game against Roosevelt.
