CHICAGO, Ill. — Chicago State University Athletics has announced an update to the inaugural 2026 football schedule with the addition of a road matchup against Southern Utah University on Saturday, November 21.
The addition of Southern Utah further strengthens the Cougars' historic first season schedule as Chicago State continues preparations for its inaugural campaign under Head Coach Bobby Rome II.
The Cougars are set to open the first season in program history on August 29, 2026 against Roosevelt University, marking a historic moment for Chicago State University, its student-athletes, alumni and supporters throughout the city of Chicago.
The updated 2026 schedule features a challenging slate of opponents and continues to build excitement leading into kickoff this fall.
