Keona McGee Named NEC Prime Performer in the Final Weekly Awards of the Season

CHICAGO, Ill. - The NEC has released their final NEC weekly women's basketball awards of the regular after the final game of the season. Chicago State's Keona McGee has been named NEC Primer Performer after her game against Stonehill on March 5. This is the sixth time McGee has been named an NEC Prime Performer this season.

McGee led the Cougars in their lone game against Stonehill in scoring as she scored 20 points in the loss to Stonehill College on March 5. She also added five rebounds and two assists. In the regular season McGee averaged 12.1 points this season, 3.9 rebounds, while shooting 41.5% from the field.

Keona McGee and the rest of the women's basketball team are set to be the six seed in the NEC Women's Basketball Tournament. They wll play in the Quarterfinal round against the third seeded LIU Shark on Monday March 9 with tip off at 6:00 PM (CT) from Brooklyn, New York.
