CHICAGO, Ill. — Chicago State men's tennis has been selected ninth in the 2026 NEC Conference Men's Tennis Preseason Poll, as announced by the league office today. The ranking comes as the Cougars embark on an ambitious Spring 2026 schedule designed to sharpen the roster against some of the nation's top programs.
The Cougars officially opened their spring season on
January 16, kicking off a competitive stretch that has already featured matchups against
Western Michigan, Louisville, Wisconsin, UIC, and Northwestern. The early slate has provided valuable experience for a young but determined Chicago State squad looking to build momentum as conference play approaches.
Chicago State returns to action on
Sunday, February 8, when the Cougars travel to face
Illinois State University.
