CHICAGO – Chicago State University men's tennis has unveiled its 2025–26 schedule, featuring a balanced slate of fall tournaments, competitive non-conference matchups, and home contests in the spring.
The Cougars open their fall campaign on
September 19 at the NEC Fall Tournament in Vestal, N.Y. The team will also compete in the
Purdue Invitational (Oct. 11-12), the
ITA Regional in Chicago hosted by DePaul (Oct. 16-20), and the
Drake Invitational (Oct. 26-27) to close out fall play.
Spring dual matches begin on the road at
Western Michigan (Jan. 16) before the Cougars host
Louisville (Jan. 18) for their home opener. The early stretch also includes a trip to
Wisconsin (Jan. 23) and home contests against
Northern Illinois (Jan. 25) and
UIC (Jan. 29).
The Cougars' February schedule is highlighted by visits to
Northwestern (Feb. 1) and
Drake (Feb. 20), as well as neutral-site matches against
Saint Louis (Feb. 21) and
Wisconsin (Feb. 28).
March brings a challenging slate with road matches at
Marquette (Mar. 1),
Nebraska Omaha (Mar. 7), and
Notre Dame (Mar. 8) before returning home to host
Xavier (Mar. 21).
Chicago State closes the regular season in April with Northeast Conference Road trips to
Wagner (Mar. 27) and
FDU (Mar. 29), followed by a three-match weekend in Youngstown, Ohio, against
Mercyhurst (Apr. 3),
Youngstown State (Apr. 4), and
Binghamton (Apr. 4). The Cougars finish the campaign at home against
Prairie State (Apr. 11).
Director of Tennis Keiran President expressed excitement for the season:
"We've built a competitive schedule that will challenge our team against nationally recognized programs while also giving us great opportunities at home in front of our fans," President said. "Our guys are hungry to compete and take the next step this season."
