PEORIA, Ill. - The Chicago State women's cross country team returned to the course after a week off on Friday. The Cougars closed out the September portion of the 2025 season with the Bradley Intercollegiate Championship. The Cougars were led by
Weronika Stanczak and
Alexis Fallejo who set three mile run personal bests on the night. Chicago State was one of 23 competing teams.
Weronika Stanczak continues to lead the team with impressive running after putting together her career best three miles distance with an 18:08 flat finishing 29th overall out of 195 runners. Stanczak has been the top finisher for the Cougars at every competition so far this season.
Alexis Fallejo put together her personal best time in the three mile distance with a 20:55.30.
Katherine Thorton finished third overall for the Cougars with a 24:17 flat.
Joyline Jebiwott out together a 28:15.80.
Daisy Ruto finished fifth overall for Chicago State with a 29:19.70.
The Chicago State women's cross country team will now have a month break from their schedule. The Cougars return to action on October 17 back at Bradley for the Bradley Pink Classic.
