CHICAGO, Ill. - The Chicago State women's soccer team traveled to cross town foe University of Illinois-Chicago on Sunday evening from Flames Field. The Cougars tied with the UIC Flames, as Chicago States held their own against a battled tested team. This is the second game of the season that has ended ina tie for the Cougars.
Chicago State faced 11 shot attempted from the Flames.Of those 11 shots, freshman goalkeeper
Aviana Gutierrez played all 90 minutes and made four crucial saves to keep the game scoreless to help the Cougars earn the tie.

Marley Hunter, and
Teyha Guiden were the Cougars who played the entire game and logged 90 minutes of play. Freshman
Else Mykleburst also made her Chicago State Cougar against the Flames. Along with graduate student
Saige Thor making her season debut for 2025.
Looking ahead: The Cougars continue to show a lot of potential and promise after four games played so far early this season. The Cougars are off to 1-1-2 start to 2025 and will look to continue the momentum. The Cougars will travel outside of Chicago for the first time this season on Thursday August 28 as they travel to Oxford, Ohio to take on the Miami (OH) University Redhawks with kickoff set for 6:00 PM (CT).
