Chad Valdes had a battle with Lincoln Battle at No. 1 singles and gave him a good fight in the first set, falling 7-5 but couldn't tie the match in the second set, dropping the match 7-5, 6-1
Chicago State will regroup as they close out the weekend against Youngstown State.
