CHICAGO - The Chicago State women's basketball team earned the No. 6 seed in this next week's NEC Women's Basketball tournament and will travel to No. 3 seed Central Connecticut State for a quarterfinal game on Monday. The game will tip-off at 6 PM CT.
The Cougars and Blue Devils have played twice this season with the teams splitting the regular season meetings. The Cougars defeated Central Connecticut Sate on Jan. 13, 84-77 behind Aiyanna Culver's career high 33 points, while the Blue Devils won the last meeting the slim margin of 62-61 on Feb. 20.
NEC Tournament quarterfinal play commences on Monday, March 10, followed by the semifinal round on Thursday, March 13. The championship game will be contested on Sunday, March 16. All quarterfinal games will air on NEC Front Row. The semis will air on NEC Front Row and ESPN+. The final will be telecast on ESPNU.
