Hackensack, NJ — Fairleigh Dickinson University (FDU) showcased its offensive firepower and defensive intensity in a 91-49 rout over Chicago State on Tuesday night at the Bogota Savings Bank Center.
Quincy Hill was a bright spot with 15 points and nine rebounds to lead the Chicago State offense. Jalen Forrest also added 14 points and nine rebounds for his seventh game in double figures in the last eight outings.
FDU (11-15, 7-4 NEC) took control early, jumping to a 43-27 halftime lead behind a balanced scoring attack and efficient shooting. The second half was more of the same as the Knights poured in 48 more points, while holding Chicago State (4-22, 4-7 NEC) to just 22 points in the final 20 minutes.
The Knights shot a blistering 54.8% from the field, including 51.9% from three (14-27), while Chicago State struggled, hitting only 26.9% of their shots and going 8-for-36 from deep (22.2%).
Chicago State will regroup as they head to take on Le Moyne on Saturday in Syracuse, N.Y.
