CHICAGO, IL - The NEC announced their weekly women's basketball awards for the week of 11/24 on Monday afternoon. Chicago State's
Marisa Gant (Springfield, Illinois / Southeast) was named NEC Prime Performer after a great outing last week against the Western Illinois Lethernecks.
In the Cougars lone game last week on Monday, November 17, Gant came off the bench for the Cougars to log 15 points, three rebounds, and two assists, in 28 minutes played. She was a huge spark for the Cougars who helped bring the Cougars within reach of the Lethernecks helping the Cougars to a season high in points in the 86-75 loss to Western Illinois.
Gant and the Cougars are on the court tonight against Northern Illinois University from Dekalb, Illinois. Tip off is set for 6:00 p.m. (CT).
