The Chicago State men's and women's cross country teams earned fifth and sixth place team finishes, respectively, at the NIU Huskie Opener hosted by Northern Illinois at the North 40 Course in DeKalb, Illinois Friday night.
Boris Mojsa was the top finisher for the men, placing 28th with a time of 25:38.96 followed by teammate
Jaden Laster who finished 33rd with a time of 28:15.59. On the women's side,
Weronika Stanczak was Chicago State's lead runner, finishing 25th in 20:40.32, followed by Zearra Milburn who finished 37th with a time of 23:37.10.
The Cougars will be back on the course September 13, competing in the Redbird Classic hosted by Illinois State.
