Cougars Men’s Tennis Ends Season with 5-2 Loss at Northern Kentucky

Box Score The Chicago State men's tennis team wrapped up the 2024 season with a 5-2 loss at Northern Kentucky Sunday afternoon at the Five Seasons Sports Club in Highland Heights, Kentucky. The doubles point went to a tiebreak at No. 3 where NKU won 7-6 (6) then won the first three singles matches to go up 4-0 and clinch the team victory. Pedro Alvarez picked up a straight set win at No. 1, 7-6 (1), 6-3 to complete an outstanding season with an 18-4 record which includes a 6-2 conference record. Freshman Zak Radziwillowicz earned the Cougars second singles victory, a marathon three setter at No. 3, 7-6 (5), 3-6, 11-9.

"It was very close today," head coach Jack Barton said. "It's too bad we couldn't finish the season with a win. We played well enough, but we just couldn't be brave on the big points."
