Devlyn Jeter Named Assistant Women’s Soccer Coach

Devlyn Jeter has been named as an assistant coach for the Chicago State women's soccer program by head coach Josh Reyes. She joins the Cougars following two seasons at Quincy University in Quincy, Illinois, where the Hawks doubled their win total from her first year (2022) to her second and final season (2023).

Prior to her time at Quincy, Jeter coached at Portland Community College where the Panthers finished the 2021 season second in the Northwest Athletic Conference, compiling a 7-3-2 conference record. 

Jeter is also a pioneer and trailblazer. She was just the second female assistant coach in the history of the Scottish Premiere League, and was the first woman of color to coach on the men's side. She also served as an assistant coach for the Stirling FC men's professional team and as an assistant women's soccer coach at Westcliff University (NAIA) in Irvine, California. 

Jeter's coaching resume also includes work with International Prospect Academy in Southern California and she served in assistant coaching roles near her hometown of Sacramento with the California Storm and at Cosumnes Oaks High School.
A 2016 graduate of the University of Portland, Jeter earned two Bachelor's degrees, Communications and Sociology, while competing for the Pilots highly-regarded women's soccer program. Jeter holds a Master's degree in Sports Management from the University of Stirling in Scotland.

The Sacramento, California native played for the Portland Pilots from 2012-16. Jeter was selected to the West Coast Conference All-Freshman Soccer team and she served as Pilots team captain in both her junior and senior seasons. After graduation, Jeter competed professionally for both the Fresno Freeze and California Storm of the Women's Premier Soccer League. In addition, she also played internationally at the pro level with the Moreton Bay United Football Club in Brisbane, Australia, as well as with Stirling FC in Stirling, Scotland.
