Box Score The Chicago State men's tennis team traveled north to Evanston Sunday night and dropped a competitive 4-0 decision to Northwestern at the Combe Tennis Center. The Wildcats claimed the doubles point with wins at No. 1 and 3, leaving No. 2 doubles tied at 5-5 unfinished. In singles, NU claimed straight set wins at No. 2, 5 and 6 for the win, leaving three matches unfinished where
Pedro Alvarez was leading in the second set, 5-3,
Zak Radziwillowicz claimed a 6-3 first set win and was tied 1-1 in the third and
Max Sandoval won the first set 7-5 and led in the second 4-3 when the match ended.
"This is the best match we've ever played against NU during my tenure here at CSU," head coach
Jack Barton said. "Doubles was very close and in singles, we competed very well. If we can play our last four matches like we did tonight, we will have a good chance to make the conference tournament. We just have play with the same confidence and desire that we played with tonight."

The Cougars will be back in action next weekend, hosting Youngstown State, Saturday, April 6 at 2 p.m. then Cleveland State on Sunday, April 7 at 2 p.m. Both matches will be at H-F Racquet and Fitness in Homewood.
