Box Score Chicago State never trailed over the first three quarters before LIU used a late 9-2 run to surge ahead then held on for an 80-71 win Monday night at the Steinberg Wellness Center in Brooklyn, New York. The game was tied 10 times but only had three lead changes and Chicago State led by as many as seven points. The Sharks tied the game at 58-58 and took their first lead on their next possession en route to the late run.
Taylor Norris and
Josie Hill each recorded double-doubles for the Cougars with Norris leading the way with 22 points and 13 rebounds and Hill scoring 14 points and leading all players with 16 boards.
Tae'lor Willard was the only other Cougars player in double figures with 11.
The Cougars won't return to the court until February 20, a 15-day break, when Chicago State will wrap up the 2023-24 season at home against Eastern Kentucky.
