The Chicago State men's soccer team lost to FDU 2-1 Thursday night at Gwendolyn Brooks College Prep in Chicago.
After a scoreless first half, the Cougars scored first when Zephyr Brockert-Kress took a deflection and scored in the 52nd minute to put CSU up 1-0. The Knights gained the equalizer in the 62nd minute and took the lead in the 77th and held on for the 2-1 final.
FDU held a 5-1 advantage in shots 5-1 with Brocket-Kress registering the lone attempt.
With the loss, Chicago State drops to 2-10-1 overall and 1-4-1 in the NEC while FDU improves to 6-4-4 and 2-2-1 in league play.
The Cougars return to the pitch Sunday, November 3, traveling to Easton, Massachusetts to face Stonehill at 12 p.m. at Skyhawk Field.
