The Chicago State men's and women's track & field teams released their 2024 indoor and outdoor schedules today. The Cougars will begin the indoor season this Saturday at the Wisconsin Midwest Invitational which is essentially a home a meet for CSU as the event is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. at the Gately Indoor Track & Field complex in Chicago (10201 S Cottage Grove Ave, Chicago, IL 60628), a site where the Cougars regularly practice.
"We are super excited for this upcoming season," director of track & field and cross country Katrina Brumfield said. "We believe we have a competitive schedule that allows us to compete on some really great 200m and 300m tracks. We really look forward to our student-athletes setting personal bests and breaking school records. I am excited to see the student-athletes hard work on display this coming season."
The Cougars will be back at Gately January 26-27 competing in the Blue Demon Alumni Classic hosted by DePaul while the remainder of both indoor and outdoor schedules will be true road meets, starting with the YSU Collegiate Invitational hosted by Youngstown State January 19 with stops at Notre Dame, Grand Valley State and Michigan to wrap up the indoor season.
The outdoor season will begin March 8-9 at the Myrtle Beach Collegiate Challenge followed by meets at Tennessee, Ball State, Indiana State, Pennsylvania and Indiana.
