The Chicago State men's soccer completed another late comeback as they trailed in the second half 2-1 and went on to win 3-2 against the UAB Blazers with
Florian Ouaddour scoring the winner in the 88th minute.
In the first half, both teams came out hot offensively yet were struggling to open up the scoring.
It wasn't until the 31st minute that UAB finally broke through and produced the first goal of the match to go up 1-0. The lead lasted a few minutes as
Calwayne Allen fired in a goal for the Cougars at the 34th minute to tie it up at 1-1 before heading into the break.
To start the second half, UAB and Chicago State once again found themselves unable to find the back of the net despite the production of several goal-scoring chances.
The Blazers managed to strike while a man down due to a red card with a goal at the 71st minute to go up 2-1.
The Cougars bounced right back up and took advantage of the extra man as
Eduardo Flores and
Florian Ouaddour scored two quick goals to pull out the win and complete the 2-1 comeback to win 3-2.
The Cougars next take on Belmont on Sunday at 11 AM in Birmingham, AL.
