Box Score The Chicago State men's soccer team continued scoring late in matches, this time
Calwayne Allen scored in the 82nd minute to pull the Cougars into a 1-1 tie and the match would end draw Sunday afternoon against the Belmont Bruins.
In the first half, the Bruins came out pressing the Cougars and forcing them to defend. Belmont eventually fired in the opener and led 1-0 at the 28-minute mark.
The Cougars managed to retaliate. producing six shots with five of them on goal yet were unsuccessful in finding the back of the net and trailed 1-0 at the break.
At the start of the second half, Chicago State maintained their offensive productivity which eventually led to a strike from
Calwayne Allen which found the back of the net to tie the match with only eight minutes left at 1-1.
Both sides then picked up the pace in order to bag a winner however were unsuccessful as the match finished at the deadlock with a score of 1-1.
The Cougars next take on Omaha on Saturday at 1 PM in Omaha, NE.
