This Week in Chicago State Athletics

February 7
Men's Basketball
at Delaware State, 6 p.m., Memorial Hall, Bayhealth Court, Dover, Delaware
The Chicago State's men's basketball team, winners of three straight games for the first time since the 2018-19 season, will play their last of three consecutive road games, traveling to Dover, Delaware to face Delaware State at Bayhealth Court at Memorial Hall on Tuesday, February 7 at 6 p.m. The Cougars enter the contest with an 8-17 record and have won three of their last four road games which includes snapping a 21-game road losing streak with a 74-70 win at Coastal Carolina.
Delaware State enters the game with a 4-17 record which includes a 2-4 home mark. This will be the first meeting between the two schools.

Women's Basketball
at Cleveland State, 1 p.m., Wolstein Center, Cleveland, Ohio
The Chicago State's women's basketball team will play their last road game of the season at Cleveland State on Tuesday, February 7 at 1 p.m. at the Wolstein Center in Cleveland. The Cougars won their last two road games, both at Hartford, and have won three games in a row overall for the first time since 2010-11 when CSU went 24-10 and 11-1 in the Great West Conference. Cleveland State enters the game with a 21-3 record and have won four straight including the last two at home where they are 11-1 this season.

Men's Tennis
vs. UIC, 1 p.m., H-F Racquet & Fitness Club, Homewood, Illinois
The Chicago State men's team will be back at home Tuesday, February 7 to host UIC at the H-F Racquet and Fitness Club in Homewood. The Flames are 1-6 this season while the Cougars are seeking their first win and are currently 0-6.
 
 
February 10
Men's and Women's Track & Field
at GVSU Big Meet-Friday, hosted by Grand Valley State, All Day, Kelly Family Sports Center, Allendale, Michigan
The Chicago State men's and women's track & field teams will compete at the GVSU Big Meet-Friday on Friday, February 10 at the Kelly Family Sports Center on the campus of Grand Valley State University in Allendale, Michigan.
 
Women's Tennis
vs. Eastern Michigan, 9 a.m., H-F Racquet & Fitness Club, Homewood, Illinois
Coming off their first win of the season, the Chicago State women's tennis team will host their first of three weekend matches on Friday, February 10 at 9 a.m., welcoming Eastern Michigan to the H-F Racquet & Fitness Club in Homewood. The Cougars are 1-5 following a 4-3 win at St. Louis while Eastern Michigan is 0-1 with a 4-3 season-opening loss to Cleveland State.
 
 
February 11
Men's Basketball
vs. St. Xavier, 2 p.m., Jones Convocation Center, Chicago, Illinois
The Chicago State's men's basketball team returns to the Jones Convocation Center on Saturday February 11 to host Saint Xavier University at 2 p.m. The game will be the first of three consecutive home games where the Cougars are undefeated in five games this season. Saint Xavier enters the week with a 20-5 record and will play at CCAC rival Cardinal Stritch Wednesday before facing CSU Saturday. Saturday's game will be the 12th all-time meeting between the two teams dating back to 1981. Chicago State holds an 11-1 advantage in the series and has won the last six contests between the two teams.

Men's and Women's Track & Field
at GVSU Big Meet-Saturday, hosted by Grand Valley State, All Day, Kelly Family Sports Center, Allendale, Michigan
The Chicago State men's and women's track & field teams will compete at the GVSU Big Meet-Saturday on Saturday, February 11 at the Kelly Family Sports Center on the campus of Grand Valley State University in Allendale, Michigan.
 
Women's Tennis
vs. Omaha, 10 a.m., H-F Racquet & Fitness Club, Homewood, Illinois
Hosting their second match in as many days, the Chicago State women's tennis team will face Omaha on Saturday, February 11 at 10 a.m. at the H-F Racquet & Fitness Club in Homewood. Omaha enters the week with a 2-3 record and will play Western Michigan Friday afternoon in Chicago before playing CSU Saturday morning.
 
 
February 12
Women's Tennis
vs. Northern Iowa, 10 a.m., H-F Racquet & Fitness Club, Homewood, Illinois
The Chicago State women's tennis team will wrap up a busy weekend, hosting their third match in three days, against the University of Northern Iowa on Sunday, February 12 at 10 a.m. at the H-F Racquet & Fitness Club in Homewood. The Panthers enter the week with a 1-4-1 record and will play at Northern Illinois Saturday before facing CSU Sunday morning.
