Box Score The Chicago State women's tennis team came away with the third win in as many days with a 6-1 victory over the University of Northern Iowa Sunday at the H-F Racquet and Fitness Club in Homewood. The win was the fourth in a row for the Cougars who swept each of the three doubles matches and won five of the six singles matches against the Panthers.
"I could not be more proud of their effort today," head coach
Jack Barton said. "It was truly a team win. I want them to enjoy what they accomplished this weekend. We have another very tough stretch in our schedule, so I want the ladies to take what they've learned this weekend and apply it in practice this week so we can be ready next Sunday."
The Cougars will be back in action next Sunday, playing a rare home and away match on the same day, hosting Illinois State on Sunday, February 19 at 10 a.m. at the H-F Racquet & Fitness Club in Homewood, then will travel to Lockport, Illinois and face the University of St. Francis at Challenge Fitness at 4:30 p.m.
