First Quarter - Norfolk State 13, Chicago State 11

? Chicago State then went in a man 8-3 run featuring buckets from Parrish, Hill, Hester and Cunningham to take an 11-6 lead
? Norfolk managed to outscore the Cougars 7-0 as they retook the lead 13-11 to finish the quarter
Second Quarter - Norfolk State 34, Chicago State 24
? The Spartans continued their run as they began with a deuce to go up 15-11
? Chicago State then ended their scoring drought with a tough layup from Hill to trail by two, 15-13
? Norfolk State managed to execute yet another 7-0 run which increased their lead to 22-13Â
? Both teams then went on to trade several buckets yet Norfolk State remained in the lead at the half with a 34-24 score
Third Quarter - Norfolk State 57, Chicago State 42
? Norfolk began with a 3-0 run, increasing their lead to 37-24
? The Cougars then managed to go on a 7-4 run with buckets from Norris, Parrish and Cunningham to trail by 10 at 41-31
? The Spartans retaliated with a run of their own at 6-0, regaining momentum and reaching a 47-31 score
? Much like the second quarter, the teams finished the third scoring back-and-forth and the Spartans led 57-42 heading into the final quarter
Fourth Quarter - Norfolk State 76, Chicago State 68
? The Spartans came out with a 4-0 run, cementing their lead at 61-42
? Chicago State bounced back with an 18-7 run, with buckets from Willard, Cunningham and Hill to now only trail by eight with two minutes remaining
? The Cougars fell short as the Spartans were able to hold off the late surge and seal the win with a score of 76-68
