Box Score The Chicago State women's basketball team lost to Cleveland State 95-41 Friday afternoon in the second game of the Cleveland State Invitational at Woodling Gymnasium in Cleveland. The Cougars struggled from the field early and the Vikings took advantage jumping out to a 14-0 lead and led 21-2 at the end of the first quarter. The Cougars only managed nine points at the half, shooting 0-7 from beyond the three-point line and 3-24 from the field and Cleveland State cruised to victory.
Jacia Cunningham led the Cougars with nine points while
Taylor Norris contributed eight and
Tae'lor Willard seven. Cunningham was also the leading rebounder with five.
The Cougars will be back in action Saturday, November 25 at 12 p.m., taking on the Austin Peay in the final game of the Cleveland State Invitational before returning home to face Evansville Sunday, November 26 at 1 p.m. at the Jones Convocation Center in Chicago.
