The Chicago State men's golf team finished seventh in a nine-team field at the Bridgestone HBCU Invitational hosted by the BCGCA at TPC Sugarloaf (par 72, 6,861 yards) in Duluth, Georgia. Teams were scheduled to play 36 holes Wednesday and 18 Thursday but a mid-week frost on the course cut the tournament to 36 total holes, playing 18 each day. Arkansas-Pine Bluff earned a one-stroke win over Florida A&M while the Cougars finished 29 shots off the pace.
Chicago State was led by
Pablo Riveiro who shot an even par 72 Wednesday followed by a 77 Thursday and his two-round total 149 was good for a tie for sixth.
Julian Colavecchia carded the low round Thursday for CSU with a 73, he finished in a tie for 17th with a 154.
