Individual members of the Chicago State men's and women's cross country teams competed in the NCAA Division I Midwest Regional hosted by Oklahoma State University at the Greiner Family OSU Cross Country Course in Stillwater, Oklahoma today. The women ran a 6k race and
Brenda Jepkoech finished 217th in a time of 24:52.5 and
Caroline Jelimo came in under a minute later, at 25:45.2, which was good for 227th overall. On the men's side,
Nicholas Negru finished 164th, crossing the finish line at 33:47.1 in a 10k event while teammates
Jovanni Avila and
Boris Mojsa both did not finish the competition.
Regional hosts Oklahoma State claimed both the men's and women's team titles and had the top three finishers in the men's race and top two finishers in the women's race.
