The Chicago State men's golf team finished seventh in a 10-team field at the The Buddy hosted by Murray State University at the Miller Memorial Golf Course (par 71, 6,710 yards) in Murray, Kentucky. The final round concluded Tuesday afternoon with the Cougars falling from fourth to seventh following a final-round 301 after posting 289 and 284 in the first and second rounds, respectively, Monday. Southern Indiana won the team event and was the only team under par with an eight-under 844, 12 strokes better than runner-up Evansville.
Chicago State was led by
Zack Phelps who tied for 25th overall with a three-over 216. Phelps and
Julian Colavecchia carded the low rounds for CSU when Phelps shot a 69 in the first round and Colavecchia, who finished in a tie for 34th, shot a 69 in the second round.

The Cougars will be back on the course October 23-24 at the Alabama A&M Golf Classic at Robert Trent Jones at Hampton Cove in Huntsville, Alabama.
