The Chicago State men's soccer team traveled to Charleston, Illinois Sunday afternoon and played Eastern Illinois to a 0-0. Neither team could find the back of the net despite the Cougars producing 12 shots to the Panthers 10.
In the first half, the Cougars managed to maintain possession and produced most of the chances as they shot five times to the Panthers two, but neither team were able to break through and both were held scoreless at the halftime break.
In the second half, the Panthers were able to level the play as they began to produce more chances of their own but also struggled to find the back of the net. The match went on to end at a deadlock of 0-0.
The Cougars will next face SIUE as they return home to Gwendolyn Brook College Prep on Thursday, October 19th at 7:30 p.m.
