September 12
Men's Soccer
at Michigan State, 6 p.m., East Lansing, Michigan, DeMartin Stadium
The Chicago State men's soccer team will play Michigan State on Monday, September 12 at 6 p.m. Â at DeMartin Stadium in East Lansing, Michigan. The Cougars enter the match with an 0-3-2 record following a 2-0 loss at UIC. Michigan State is 1-3-1 following a 1-1 tie at Bowling Green. The Spartans are 1-2-0 at home this season, beginning the year with three consecutive home games.

Men's Golf
at St. Francis, All Day, Joliet, Illinois, Wedgewood Golf Course
The Chicago State men's golf team will open their fall schedule on Tuesday, September 13 against St. Francis at the Wedgewood Golf Course in Joliet, Illinois. Chicago State will compete in six fall events beginning Tuesday, highlighted by competing in the 37
th Annual HBCU Golf Invitational (Sept. 26-27) and SAS Championship HBCU Invitational (Oct. 15-16). The fall season concludes November 1 at Alabama A&M.

September 16
Volleyball
vs. Evansville, 1:30 p.m., East Lansing, Michigan, Breslin Center
The Chicago State volleyball team will compete in the Green & White Classic hosted by Michigan State University at the Breslin Center in East Lansing, Michigan September 16-17. Participating teams include Evansville, Oakland, host Michigan State and Chicago State.

Chicago State will face Evansville in its first match of the tournament on Friday, September 16 at 1:30 p.m. The Cougars will play a pair of matches Saturday, September 17, facing Michigan State at 9 a.m. and Oakland at 6:30 p.m.

Women's Soccer
at University of Missouri Kansas City, 7 p.m., Kansas City, Missouri, Durwood Soccer Stadium
The Chicago State women's soccer team will face the University of Missouri Kansas City on Saturday, September 16 at 7 p.m. at the Durwood Soccer Stadium in Kansas City. The Cougars enter the match with a 1-6-1 record following a 0-0 tie against Bellarmine this past Sunday. The Roos enter the match with a 0-6-1 record following a 1-0 loss at Missouri State.

Men's Soccer
vs. St. Thomas, 5 p.m., Chicago, Illinois, TBD
The Chicago State men's soccer team will host their first home match of the season, welcoming St. Thomas to Chicago to play Friday, September 16 at 5 p.m. The location will be determined during the week leading up to the contest.

Men's and Women's Cross Country
at Bradley Intercollegiate, All Day, Peoria, Illinois, Detweiller Park
Chicago State's men's and women's cross country teams are scheduled to compete at the Bradley Intercollegiate hosted by Bradley University on Friday, September 16 at Detweiller Park in Peoria, Illinois. The men will complete an 8k race while the women will run three miles.

vs. Oakland, 6:30 p.m., East Lansing, Michigan, Breslin Center
The Chicago State volleyball team will face Michigan State in the Green & White Classic at the Breslin Center in East Lansing, Michigan on Saturday, September 17 at 9 a.m. and is scheduled to face Oakland at 6:30 p.m.

vs. Northern Illinois, 1 p.m., Chicago, Illinois, Gwendolyn Brooks College Prep
The Chicago State women's soccer team will wrap up the home portion of their schedule, hosting Northern Illinois on Sunday, September 18 at Gwendolyn Brooks College Preparatory Academy High School at 1 p.m. Northern Illinois entered the week with an 2-1-2 record and will play at Wisconsin Monday prior to coming to Chicago to face the Cougars Sunday.

About Chicago State
Chicago State University Athletics is comprised of 15 intercollegiate teams involving over 150 student-athletes that compete in basketball, cross country, golf, soccer, tennis, indoor and outdoor track and volleyball. CSU held memberships in the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) and NCAA Division II before transitioningm to NCAA Division I in 1994. Melvin Bland was the first CSU student-athlete to gain NAIA All-American status in 1974 as a wrestler. Fred Evans became the first black swimmer ever to win a national championship in 1975. In 1991, the Chicago State women's tennis team became the first all-black college team to amass an unbeaten season at the NCAA level. CSU's women's basketball team earned a spot in the 2011 Women's Basketball Invitational and CSU's men's basketball team won the 2013 Great West Conference Tournament title, also making an appearance in the CollegeInside.com Postseason Tournament (CIT). The Men's Outdoor Track & Field 4x100-Meter Relay team were 2019 Honorable Mention All-Americans and WAC Champions. Their feat marked the first time the Chicago State's men's track & field program was represented at the national meet. Chicago State volleyball recorded a historic season in 2021, with Yanlis Feliz becoming CSU's first volleyball All-American and head coach
Tony Trifonov earning selection as WAC Coach of the Year. During that same season, three different CSU teams earned victories over Big Ten opponents with men's soccer beating Northwestern, women's basketball upending Wisconsin and volleyball, which established a school record 17 wins and hosted a post-season volleyball tournament for the first time in program history, swept Indiana in Bloomington.
