Drop Two 4-0 Decisions to the Wildcats

Box Score 1 | Box Score 2
The Chicago State men's tennis team opened their spring schedule with a pair of matches at Northwestern today, taking on the Wildcats at the Combe Tennis Center in Evanston. Northwestern earned two victories, taking both the afternoon and evening matches 4-0.

"I thought today was a good start against a top team like Northwestern," head coach Jack Barton said. "The focus was to compete well and stay as close as we can in each match. I saw a lot of good things today especially in the second match. We played much better. We still need to work on consistency and the that will open up the door for us to be better and win some matches."
The next action for the Cougars will be Jan. 21 at Marquette. Chicago State was set to host UIC on Monday, Jan. 17 but that matched was postponed due to COVID protocols.
