Chicago State Athletics Hosts Alumni Day and Greek Appreciation Game on Dec. 4

Chicago State Athletics is welcoming back all CSU Alumni and all Greeks

The Chicago State Department of Intercollegiate Athletics in collaboration with the Chicago State Alumni Association, the Chicago State National Panhellenic Council and FM Omni Channel
will be welcoming back all Chicago State Alumni and Greeks for men's and women's basketball games on Dec. 4. The CSU women's basketball team takes on St. Thomas at 12 pm and the men's team hosts Tennessee State at 4 pm.
 
CSU will be hosting a Greek reunion at the Jones Convocation Center that day with each fraternity and sorority hosting a table on the concourse for a day filled with fellowship, food and basketball.
 
For Greeks looking to reserve a table for the day please contact Executive Sr. Associate AD for External Operations, Jessica Poole at JPoole23@csu.edu. Please reserve a table by the 5pm CT on Thursday Dec. 2. Additionally, Chicago State Athletics will offer complimentary tickets for those who sign up.  Please click HERE for the women's game and HERE for the men's game.  Please sign up by Thursday Dec. 2 at 5 pm CT.  
 
When signing up for tickets please include the following information when prompted:
· Select: "Rep of Group or Club"
· Enter Group "CSU Alumni Association or name of your Fraternity or Sorority".
· Enter Title: "Member"
We will also invite all Greeks in attendance to stroll at halftime of each game.
 
CSU will also host is Day of Giving on Dec. 4. All are encouraged to donate to support the Chicago State student-athlete experience. For more information and to donate click HERE.
 
All Cougar fans are encouraged to participate in the CSU Athletics toy drive benefitting the Pullman Community Center and the Juan Diego Community Center. Cougars fans are encouraged to bring a new, unwrapped toys. Donation boxes will be located in the front lobby of the Jones Convocation Center.
 
ABOUT CHICAGO STATE ATHLETICS:
 Chicago State University Athletics is comprised of 15 intercollegiate teams involving over 150 student-athletes that compete in basketball, cross country, golf, soccer, tennis, indoor and outdoor track and volleyball. CSU held memberships in the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) and NCAA Division II before transitioning to NCAA Division I in 1994. Melvin Bland was the first CSU student-athlete to gain NAIA All-American status in 1974 as a wrestler. Fred Evans became the first black swimmer ever to win a national championship in 1975. CSU's women's basketball team earned a spot in the 2011 Women's Basketball Invitational and CSU's men's basketball team won the 2013 Great West Conference Tournament title and made an appearance in the CollegeInside.com Postseason Tournament (CIT).  The Men's Outdoor Track & Field 4x100-Meter Relay team were 2019 Honorable Mention All-Americans and WAC Champions. Their feat marked the first time the Chicago State's men's track & field program was represented at the national meet.
