Wyatt Pauley Named Associate Head Tennis Coach

Joins the Cougars from St. Louis University

Chicago State head men's and women's tennis coach Jack Barton announced today the hiring of Wyatt Pauley as an associate head coach.

"This is an exciting time in the athletic department and the addition of Wyatt to the coaching staff will contribute to the excitement," Barton said. "He comes highly recommended by his peers, so to have that respect from other coaches confirms we made the right choice.

"I am thrilled to have him here and Wyatt is excited to come aboard. The team has welcomed him with open arms and they cannot wait to get started with him. He will help us build toward our championship era for tennis."

Pauley comes to CSU from Saint Louis University where he served as an assistant coach for the men's tennis team since December 2019.

Pauley arrived at SLU following one season as head coach at St. Louis College of Pharmacy. He also has served as a volunteer assistant at the University of Missouri-St. Louis and was an instructor at camps hosted by Baylor University and the University of Virginia.

A 2018 graduate of Quincy University with a degree in history, Pauley played singles and doubles for the Hawks throughout his career and was team captain in 2016-17. He earned academic honors from the Intercollegiate Tennis Association and the Great Lakes Valley Conference. Pauley attended the John Newcombe Tennis Ranch during his high school years.
