CHICAGO – Chicago State men's basketball dropped its Western Athletic Conference (WAC) season debut as the Cougars fell 94-73 to Utah Valley at home, Thursday, Jan. 2 inside the Jones Convocation Center.
Junior
Xavier Johnson (Dallas, Texas/Hopkins H.S.), despite seeing limited minutes, scored a team-best 20 minutes during his 17 minutes of action.
Andrew Lewis (Milwaukee, Wis./Milwaukee Vincent H.S.) trailed Johnson offensively, scoring 17 points with a team-best seven rebounds.
Jace Colley (Preston, Nova Scotia, Canada/Toronto Basketball Academy) and
Rajeir Jones (Baltimore, Md./St. Francis Academy) each added 14 points for the Cougars, while Colley pulled down seven boards and Jones collected two steals.
