EDINBURG, Texas | Chicago State men's basketball suffered an 87-63 road setback at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley, Saturday, Jan. 11 inside the UTRGV Fieldhouse.

Xavier Johnson (Dallas, Texas/Hopkins H.S.) and
Andrew Lewis (Milwaukee, Wis./Milwaukee Vincent H.S.) each scored 12 points, while Johnson dished a team-best five assists and Lewis blocked two shots with four rebounds.

Solomon Hunt (Pomona, Calif./Upland H.S.) pulled down a team-high six rebounds and added nine points during the Western Athletic Conference (WAC) loss.
