Chicago State volleyball dropped a pair of road-matches at Grand Canyon (3-1) and California State Bakersfield (3-2) over the weekend to kick off their four-game road stint.

The Cougars fell in heart-breaking fashion on Saturday (Oct. 26) as CSU took sets one and two from the Roadrunners, before dropping the final three in the setback (22-25, 24-26, 25-17, 25-10, 15-3).
Josi Borum (Sterling, IL ) led the Cougars with 12 kills, trailed by
Ceyna Kahraman's (Istanbul, Turkey) 11, while
Lacee Adams (Muncie, Ind./Muncie Central) ran the offense with 19 assists.
On the defensive end,
Megan Klavitter (Fenton, MI) collected 31 digs as Borum earned her 12
th double-double of the season with 14 digs.

On Thursday (Oct. 24), in Phoenix, Ariz., the Lopes took three of four sets from CSU, 25-19. 25-16, 22-25, 25-15.
Borum's 11
th double-double of the season led the way for the Cougars with 18 kills and 14 assists. Kirah Williams Shepherd added seven additional kills, while Adams had a team-best 21 assists.
Defensively, Klavitter picked up 23 digs and Adams earned 13.
