Cougars Fall at Wisconsin to Open Four-Game Road Swing

MADISON, Wis. – The Chicago State women's basketball team opened its four-game road swing here Wednesday night by falling to host Wisconsin by a score of 85-38 at the Kohl Center.
 
CSU received eight points from freshman Kourtney Crane (Peoria, Ill./Richwoods), sophomore Tamara Olverson (Cincinnati, Ohio/Winton Woods) and redshirt sophomore Destinee Pointer (Waxahatchie, Texas/Waxahatchie).
 
Crane and junior Ines Mata Boix (Madrid, Spain/) each grabbed seven rebounds, while junior Alexandria Cliff (Manitowoc, Wis./Roncalli) posted a season-best six boards.
 
The Badgers finished the game with five players scoring double figure points with Marsha Howard and Alex Luehring each tallying a game-high 13 points.
 
Next up for the Cougars is a trip to Evanston, Ill., on Monday, Dec. 17 to take on Northwestern at Welsh-Ryan Arena with the opening tip set for 11 a.m.
