Opening Tip – Chicago State women's basketball returns to the Emil and Patricia Jones Convocation Center to host 2018 Postseason WNIT participant UAB in a midday showdown for Education Day live on the WAC Digital Network with the opening tip set for 12 noon.

Scouting CSU – Chicago State holds a 0-4 record on the season following last Saturday's 104-68 defeat to host Morehead State in its second contest of the Vinewood Farm Classic at MSU's Johnson Arena in Morehead, Ky. Sophomore guard Tyeshia Bowers (Flint, Mich./Southwestern) leads three Cougar players in double figures with an average of 23 points per game while shooting 73 percent from the free throw line and 50 percent from the field. Also scoring double digit scoring averages are freshmen guards Kourtney Crane (Peoria, Ill./Richwoods) (11.3 ppg) and Taylor Robinson (Bolingbrook, Ill./Bolingbrook) (10.3 ppg). Junior forward Ines Mata Boix (Madrid, Spain/) leads the Green and White in field-goal percentage (.571), rebounds (11.0 rpg), blocked shots (3.2 bpg) and steals (2.0 spg).

Scouting UAB – UAB brings a 2-0 record into tomorrow's encounter with CSU after concluded a season-opening homestand at Bartow Arena last Thursday with a convincing 85-54 victory over former Conference USA foe Memphis as junior forward Rachel Childress tallied a game-high 25 points. Senior guard Deanna Kuzmanic leads three players in double figures for the Blazers by averaging 16 points a game while shooting 70 percent from the field.

Series History – Tomorrow's game will be the first-ever meeting on the hardwood between Chicago State and UAB.

CSU's Block Party – CSU has two players that are ranked in the WAC's Top 10 for blocked shots as Mata Boix leads the conference at 3.2 blocks a game and Crane is tied for sixth place with one block per game.

Mata Boix Ties Career Rebounding High – Mata Boix equaled her career high for rebounds last Saturday as she grabbed 16 rebounds at Morehead State. She currently ranks second in the WAC in total rebounds (44) and fourth in rebounds per game.

Dual-Sport Athletes – The Cougars have a pair of dual-sport athletes on the roster this season in junior forward Alexandria Cliff (Manitowoc, Wis./Roncalli) and freshman forward Kayla Malec (Spring Grove, Ill./Richmond-Burton), who are
also members of the CSU volleyball team. Both players will make their first appearance of the season in today's game against UAB.

Up Next – CSU is back in action on Thursday, Nov. 29 with its final game of the Vinewood Farm Classic against rival Valparaiso in a live WAC Digital Network broadcast that begins at 5 p.m.
